He hummed under his breath as he walked down the aisle, swinging a bag of carrots. When he came to his gelding's stall he was greeted with a soft nicker. He smiled and dropped the bag of carrots down by the stall door. He unbuckled his horse's halter from the stall and pulled the door open. "Hey Skippy." He greeted the black and white paint gelding. He patted the horse's velvet nose and slipped the halter on his head and led him out of the stall.
Max led Skip into the barn aisle and tied him up in the cross ties. He reached into the bag of carrots and broke one in half for the horse. He offered the horse the carrot. Skip took it eagarly and crunched it down. Max patted the gelding then walked off to gather the tools he needed to muck out Skippy's stall.
Once all of the mucking tools were gathered, Max began. Once finished mucking the stall, he began to groom his horse.

Jace walked into the barn pausing when he spotted a black and white paint in cross ties. Smiling when he realized the paint and the boy grooming him were unfamiliar he continued to walk down the aisle. Hey, I’m Jace…. Thought you had my horse for a second, Though they don’t really look all that alike. he said giving a low whistle. A black and white head emerged from a stall farther down the aisle, nickering a greeting to him. See? he said gesturing to the stallion. He then turned his attention back on to the boy and his horse.

Max watched as another guy entered the barn. He paused at Max's horse. For a second Max was curious about that. Then the boy started to talk to him. Max looked at his horse and then down the aisle to another horse that answered the whistle. They did look alike. Max laughed. "I'm Max. This is Skip. You're right they do look alike."

Jace nodded when Max said that their horses looked a like. So are you new here, where are you from? he asked as he walked down the aisle to Lerato's stall and opened the door after taking the halter from the door. Stepping inside he slipped the halter on the stallions head and lead him out and put him in cross ties. He got Lerato's grooming kit and set to work grooming him. This is Lerato, he sadi pausing for a moment and patting the stallion's shoulder affectionatly.

"Yeah I'm new here." He answered. "I'm from California. What about you? How long have you been here?" Max eyed the stallion. He was impressive. Now that he was looking at him, their horses didn't look too similar. He patted the stallion. "Do you compete?' He asked converstaionally.

Wyoming, I’ve been here a month or so. he said as he glanced at Max and notice he was eyeing the stallion. He then smiled when Max patted the stallion. He turned and asked for one of Lerato’s hooves, the stallion lifted and held it for him. Yeah I do western pleasure and reining, as well as some other stuff on the side that they don’t offer here to though. What about you? he asked as he finished the hoof and murmured Alright to Le and stroked his neck as he stood up. Before moving to the back legs, Lerato willingly gave and held his foot for Jace.

Max watched as Jace picked the stallion's feet. "I do western pleasure. And a little bit of reining also. I ride the trails a lot too." In teh cross ties, Skippy was getting antsy. Max walked back over to him and fed him a carrot. The gelding gobbled it down quickly. Then he patted his neck.

Jace straightened himself when and out Lerato’s grooming stuff away. Speaking of trails. I have to take Lerato out, He hasn’t been out in awhile, would like to join me? He looks likes he’s wanting to go somewhere. he said gesturing towards Skip as he spoke the last part. If you don’t want to go that’s alright. he said as he then disappeared into the tack room and came back with Lerato’s tack. Jace laid the saddle pad and saddle on the stallion’s back and cinched it up. He then put on Lerato’s boots and hackamore. Jace paused to check everything then looked towards Max So do you want to come or not?
