Welcome to Budleigh, more accurately a small suburb of Budleigh Town. It's the halfway point of the century, the economy is rising, the war is over, and life has never been better (or so we like to say).
It isn't so different here from any other small town, we have our saints and sinners, same as anywhere else, and everyone has a skeleton or two hiding out in their closets. And there are always those who are determined to bring these skeletons to light, such as our own Superintendent, the zealous Johnny Partridge who is always willing to listen to the theories of the general public, or the local housewives who can't resist anything that even hints of a scandal (although don't be fooled into thinking the men are any better). And so, everything taken into account, secrets around here often don't stay secret.
Still, we're a friendly bunch, and everyone is welcome here. So please, join up and move in, we eagerly await your arrival.
