A tall, thin figure stepped out into the bright afternoon sunlight, his wavy blonde hair which stopped at his broad shoulders blowing out slightly in the light breeze. He had a blue beach towel hung over his shoulder, and was wearing his swim trucks accompanied by a thin, with t-shirt. Taylor smiled to himself as he made his way over to a series of lawn chairs which brimmed one side of the pool and set his stuff down, glancing around through his glasses at the empty pool deck.
Maybe I'll check out the restaurant and grab something to eat. I sure hope that this place fills up soon.
When he had checked-in at the front desk of the boy's dorms, he had been shocked to find out that he was only the first guy to accept thier invitation to enrole at WC. The thought was somewhat appealing, and he glanced up at the three-story dorm which housed the girls. He would be the only guy here. Though he didn't want to be alone all year, and he wanted to make friends, he had to admit, that was a pretty good start to the year. tossing his head the way he did to brush his hair ou of his eyes, he looked up at the building in front of him, peeking through the windows of the first floor, watching as one girl made her way into the lounging room, a glass containing an unknown substance in hand.

Vannessa walked across the pool deck, her towel slung over her shoulder as she gazed around the quiet yard. Usually a place like this is quite filled, thought Vannessa as she laid her stuff down on an empty chair. After all, days warm and sunny like these weren't going to be happening very much until spring from now on. As she was about to sit down, she noticed another person standing by a chair a few away from her's. Deciding it would be a good idea to introduce herself, she stood up and strode over to where he was standing.
"Hey. I'm Vannessa. Am I correct about the fact that you are the first boy to check-in here?"
She didn't want to be nosy, but of course she was curious. She really wanted this year to be a nice, social year filled with friendship, so making as many friends as she could quickly seemed like a logical place to start. Taylor... She was pretty sure that's what his name was, but she didn't want to make a fool of herself either, so she waited patiently for his reply. ----Tick tck on the clock But the party don't stop, no o

Taylor flinched slightly as he opened his eyes with a start at a voice coming from beside his chair. Swishing his hair out from in front of his eyes, he glanced around to his right and noticed a girl looking over at him from a few chairs down. Was she talking to him? She he say something, or wait for her to say something else? Sitting up straighter, he spared a quick look around the pool deck, before deciding that she had been talking to him.
"Uh, hey..."
He paused, trying to figure out what she had asked him in the first place. He had been dozing, so he had no idea what she had asked him, so he smiled, a little embarrassed, before getting up off of the chair to stand up.
"Um, did you ask me something? I didn't really hear..."
He felt his cheeks fluster slightly, and shook himself on the inside for acting this way. He knew better than to make a fool of himself this fast, but he couldn't help it, she was.... Cute, to say the least.

Smiling warmly as he stood up, Vannessa Waited fr him to answer her question, but was unsure what to say when he simply said hey. After a few akward seconds of waiting for him to say something else, the boy finally realized that he should reply and asked her if she had asked him something earlier. He must have been half asleep, she thought as she looked over at him, laughing at the flustered look on his face.
Yes, I was wondering if you were Taylor Sinte.. I believe that you are the only boy here so far?
She said, still stifling giggles at his reaction to her first question. He must have really been out of it to have not heard both of her sentences. He was pretty funny. Maybe they would make great friends. Then she'd have two friends that she could hang out with, and while he had no other guys to hang around with, Taylor could chill with her and Nicolette.
By the way, I'm Vannessa Cross, in case you didn't hear what I said earlier....

Taylor nodded his head after she had finished with her first question, before speaking up. Yah, but it's not so bad... I'm fine. He paused for a few seconds, thinking of his horse, who was out in the back paddock, probably freezing himself. He's probably thrown off his blanket by now, he thought, and laughed despite himself. He would have to go and check on him later. That's a cool name, I'm Taylor... Wait, I already said that... He laughed again, before shivering in the harsh breeze that had picked up. Even though they weren't supposed to get any snow for at least a few more days, he had been hoping to take advantage of the warmish weather and maybe take a quick dip into the pool, but there was no sense now. You're not going to swim now, are you? I know I was, but it was warmer out earlier... He turned his head towards the trees and watched as they swayed in the strong breeze, their bare branches banging against each other, creaking eerily. So, do you wanna go see my horse?

Definately not...
Vannessa laughed, tucking a lock of her long blonde hair behind her ear as a gust of wind swooshed it into her eyes. After Taylor had finished talking, she nodded her head to his question to go out to the paddocks. Her horses were all outside too, Impulse, Ayasha and Excaliber. She loved, them dearly, and as she listened to the cold wind tear at the trees, she decided that she would bring them up to the barn on her way back up.
Good idea, my horses are all in the paddocks too. We can introduce each other to one another's horses.
Picking up her bag, she swung it over her shoulder and turned her head to look back at the dorms. She would put her stuff away and then they could meet down by the pastures.
So, I'll just put my bag into my dorm and then we can head on down to see the horses, sound good with you?

Taylor nodded his head in agreement, picking up his own belongings.
Sure, sounds like a plan.
He said, smiling. Usually he was a lot more talkative, but for some reason he didn't really want to scare away Vanessa with his 'unusual' behavior, as some of his friends back home used to classify it as.
So, do you wanna meet here, or down at the paddocks? Or if it works better for you we can always meet somewheres else, because I'm not doing anything at all today..
He stopped, realizing that he was rambling. A little embarrassed, he turned his head a little so that she hopefully couldn't see the blook rushing to his face. He just wanted to be friends with thsi girl, right? He hoped so, he felt that maybe it was just dumb to fall for the first person that he had met at the academy. Watch yourself, him thought as he turned back, swinging his bag around absent mindedly.
So, I'll see you in a few?
He said, nodding to her happily as he turned to head back to the boy's dorms.

{{Okay, I'll make it right after I'm done repliying.. :]}}
Shivering, Vanessa nodded, wrapping herself with her arms tightly.
Sounds great! I'll meet you down at the barns, and we can walk down from there.
She said before turning and walking off in the direction of the girls dorm house. She would just change into something warmer and grab a bite to eat. Oh, and of course she couldn't forget to bring a few treats for her horses.
